i try not to think about it, but you can really see it everywhere.
people who used to be your peers. the people you used to compete with, and even beat out occasionally, so far ahead in life. so much more successful.
it seems easy to blame it on the choice of profession but the evidence can’t be any clearer. the percentages speak for themselves.
so do we just keep our heads down and trudge along? continue working our butts off to try and reach places 5 years down the line that they’ve already reached just by nature of the market? just by nature of the chosen profession?
it’s not like i was unable to go the other route either. i was just stupid. it was the wrong choice.
